Julian Shot Above the Tuna Sterilisation Vat; Falls In; Is Processed and Shipped; His Ring Found in a Can; Ring Fed to Fluffy; Julian Is Missing; Everyone Is a Suspect

The gauntlet. The escape. The car through the garage door. The cannery. The vat. The ring. The cat. The Gazette has been preparing for a who-shot-JR situation since the armed citizenry of Harmony began converging on the Crane Manor and is now reporting it.

Julian Crane, having spent the better part of sixteen issues generating grievances across the population of Harmony, was shot this week above the Tuna Sterilisation Vat at the Harmony Cannery and fell in. The Gazette notes the full chain of events that preceded this outcome.0512

Ethan, Luis, TC, Antonio, Eve and More were all closing in on Julian on the Crane Manor grounds simultaneously, each armed and each with documented motive. Julian escaped. He left Ivy tied up in the garage, drove through the garage door, and fled to the cannery.0512 There, above the Tuna Sterilisation Vat, while hanging from a valve and reliving his dark deeds - which this paper has documented exhaustively across sixteen issues - he was shot. He fell in. He was processed with the tuna. He was shipped with the tuna. Sam shut down the cannery to investigate but the tuna from last night's vat had already left the facility.0512

WrecksLLC · Assessment "TUNA JOKER"
kink_shaman · Wordplay of Record "How do you like vat?"

Julian's jacket was recovered from the vat. He has been reported missing. His ring was subsequently found in a tuna can and fed to Fluffy. The Gazette notes the ring's journey: from Julian's finger, to the Tuna Sterilisation Vat, to a can, to a 'cat'. The Gazette considers this one of the more extraordinary chains of custody in its sixteen-issue run and notes it without editorial embellishment because none is required. Tabitha, for her part, stole cans from the cannery on her way home. The Gazette notes this and notes we have come full circle from Julian being fed cat food to Julian being fed to a cat.

Suspects · Active at Time of Shooting

Ethan Winthrop · Motive: Julian's conduct with Theresa. Armed. At the manor.

Luis Lopez-Fitzgerald · Motive: Sheridan. The murder order. Long standing everything. Armed. At the manor.

TC Russell · Motive: Paternal mandate. The car crash. Julian's history with Eve. Armed. At the manor.

Antonio Lopez-Fitzgerald · Motive: Sheridan & More probably. Armed. At the manor.

Eve Russell · Motive: Eighteen years of documented grievance. Armed. At the manor.

Ivy Crane · Motive: 23 years of documented grievance. Was tied up in the garage. Alibi: the garage. The Gazette notes this is a strong alibi but notes Ivy has resources.

Rebecca Hotchkiss · Motive: The Theresa marriage revelation. Holsters a pistol in her garter. The Gazette notes the garter holster as relevant to the investigation.

Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald · Motive: Theresa. Also the fountain incident.

Tabitha Lenox · Motive: Centuries of accumulated grievance. Stole cans from the cannery afterward. Suspicious timing.

Everyone is a suspect. Almost everyone had motive. The Gazette notes this is what sixteen issues of Julian Crane coverage produces.

Timmy Is a Real Boy; Cannot Go Into Doll Mode to Escape Julian and Reese; Goes to the School Dance; Cleans Up; Has the Time of His Life; Tabitha Is Very Salty

The wish. The heart transplant quest. The psych ward talent show. The school dance. The girls. Tabitha watching with insufficient grace. The Gazette notes that Timmy's real boy arc is the most joyful sustained storyline this paper has covered in sixteen issues and is covering it with appropriate enthusiasm.

Timmy's Christmas star wish came true. He is a real boy. The immediate operational consequence is that he can no longer enter doll mode to avoid detection, which became relevant immediately when Julian and Reese - who now know he is a talking doll, or was - nearly caught him in the hospital. Timmy had to navigate this as a real boy. He did. The Gazette notes his adaptability. 0512

Timmy's quest for a heart - which is the literal requirement of being a real boy in the tradition of the relevant source material - led him and Tabitha to the hospital, where they were invited by a patient of the psychiatric ward to a psych ward talent show. The Gazette notes this as the beginning of a new arc that chat was very happy about, and endorses the enthusiasm.

OnlineVCR · Viewer Response "I'm so happy that there is a psych ward talent show arc."

Timmy subsequently went to the school dance. As a real boy. He cleaned up. He danced with all the girls. He had the time of his life. The Gazette notes this and notes it with warmth and notes it is exactly what Timmy deserves given everything this paper has documented about his character across sixteen issues. Tabitha was, per sources, very salty about it. The Gazette notes that Tabitha has observed Timmy acquiring his own agency and that this is a new and apparently uncomfortable development for her. The Gazette notes Timmy has always had agency. The wish made it visible. 0512

milarepa62 · Practical Observation "Can't put Timmy in the microwave anymore."

The Gazette notes milarepa62's observation and endorses it as the most pragmatic response to Timmy's real boy status available. The angel visited Timmy while he was attempting to ice-pick Charity free and told him their lives are intertwined, like Romeo and Juliette. The Gazette notes the angel's confirmation of what this paper has felt for some time and files it accordingly.

Zombie Charity Drives Miguel Toward Kay; Falls Into the Ice; Miguel Jumps In After Her; Timmy and Angel Girl Watch From Behind a Rock

Zombie Charity, continuing to execute Kay's operational plan, drove Miguel toward Kay this week and then fell into the ice. Miguel jumped in after her. Timmy and the Angel Girl observed from behind a rock. The Gazette notes that Miguel jumping into frozen water after someone he believes is Charity but is actually a Kay-made zombie is consistent with Miguel's documented character and notes that Miguel's commitment to Charity across sixteen issues is one of the most consistent things in this paper's archive. The Gazette notes this is not always an asset to him operationally but notes it is who he is.

David Has a Son Named John; Ivy Invited Him to Harmony; John Is Also Grace's Son; Dr Pookashells and Liz Have Arrived From St Lisa's slightly after Antonio and Sheridan; Sheridan Sleepwalks on the Plane

David Hastings has a son named John. Ivy invited him to Harmony for Christmas. Given the nature of David's claim regarding Grace, John is also possibly Grace's son. The Gazette notes the expansion of the David/Grace situation from a disputed marriage into a disputed family and notes that the structural complexity of this storyline has now exceeded what this paper's original David file anticipated when it was opened in issue eight.0512

Dr. Pookashells and Liz, who owns the resort on St. Lisa's island, have arrived in Harmony. The Gazette notes their arrival and notes that either a reporter or the writers missed the exposition that would explain how they got here. The Gazette is noting this gap without judgment and notes the island has now been named: St. Lisa's. The Gazette files the name.

Sheridan, Antonio, Dr. Pookashells and Liz, are departing Harmony to return to St. Lisa's. Sheridan is sleepwalking on the plane. Luis does not know she was ever here. The Gazette notes the near-reunion count across this arc and notes it is now in the double digits and that the Gazette has been at the airport for several issues and is developing opinions about Bermuda air travel.

Tabitha Loots the Crane Gun Safe

0512Tabitha Lenox located and looted the Crane gun safe at the Crane Manor during the general chaos of the Julian situation. The Gazette notes Tabitha has added a firearms collection to her documented operational resources, which already include: a basement of spirits, a vision well, the sceptre, rhyme-based magic, a hot tub surveillance apparatus, and now a library of small guns. The Gazette notes this and notes that Tabitha arrived at the manor during a situation where everyone else was also armed, which suggests either operational awareness or very good timing. Probably both.

The TC Father-Spirit and Norma's Father-Spirit: Could They Be the Same Demonic Entity? What Does It Have to Do With the Shed?

P_Chops has raised this week a question the Gazette considers genuinely significant: could the vengeful father-spirit that has been appearing to TC and the skeleton father that Norma carries in a Baby Bjorn be manifestations of the same demonic entity? The Gazette notes that both entities have directed their respective hosts toward specific acts of violence. The Gazette notes the shed has been an unresolved item in this paper's notices bar since the first issue. The Gazette notes P_Chops also notes that TC was thinking of getting a second shed. The Gazette considers the second shed question separate from but not unrelated to the first shed question. The Gazette is watching both sheds.

A Possible Ivy-Rebecca-Pilar Alliance Has Been Proposed; The Community Has Named It the Harmony MILF Force; The Gazette Is Taking the Proposal Seriously

Three women. Documented individual grievances against Julian Crane. Documented individual capabilities. A potential combined operational posture. The Gazette is reviewing this.

The viewing community has proposed a possible alliance between Ivy Crane, Rebecca Hotchkiss, and Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald, which has been named the Harmony MILF Force. The Gazette is treating this proposal as a serious analytical matter and is reviewing the operational case for and against. 0512

The case for: Ivy has intelligence resources, a spy (Jerry), a blackmail operation, and sixteen issues of documented political acumen. Rebecca has a garter holster, has demonstrated willingness to use firearms in the Crane mansion, blackmailed Julian into marriage, and has shown strategic patience across multiple episodes. Pilar has pushed a woman into a fountain and attempted to drown her, has been at the centre of every major Lopez-Fitzgerald development in this paper's run, and punched Julian as part of the gauntlet. Together they have: guns, intelligence, legal standing as Crane family members or associates, and sufficient combined motivation to power a small supernatural event.

Harmony MILF Force Ivy Crane · Rebecca Hotchkiss · Pilar Lopez-Fitzgerald
Proposed by the Community · Under Review by the Gazette · The Editorial Board Is Supportive

The Gazette's editorial position: the Harmony MILF Force is a viable operational concept. The three members have complementary capabilities, shared enemies, and documented willingness to act. The Gazette notes that the alliance is currently proposed rather than confirmed and notes that in Harmony, proposed alliances have a mixed track record. This paper is watching with interest and notes that if the MILF Force does form, Julian Crane being dissolved in tuna may be the least of anyone's concerns.

A Winter Storm Is Coming; Rod Rodgers Confirms; Harmony's Record on Storms: Poor

Weather Correspondent Rod Rodgers has confirmed that a winter storm is incoming. The Gazette notes Rod Rodgers as this paper's first named weather correspondent and welcomes him warmly. The Gazette also notes a documented history of storms including: the Bermuda storm that was supernaturally redirected toward Harmony, multiple converging storm systems tracked by the NBC national forecast, and a warlock island weather event. Harmony has not handled any of these well. Rod Rodgers has his work cut out. The Gazette is glad he is here.

Ivy's Sheila Witness Backs Out; Theresa Is Struggling; Chad Has a New Date; John Has Arrived

Ivy hired Sheila from the Bermuda resort - the woman who found Julian in bed with Theresa - as a witness. Sheila confirmed that the people she found in bed together are the people in question. Sheila then backed out. The Gazette notes the backing out and notes it extends the information asymmetry Ethan is operating under and notes that Ethan is a lawyer with a full law library and that eventually the law and the facts are going to meet. Theresa is struggling with the situation.

Chad Harris is on a date this week with a girl named Kelly, having ended things with Whitney. John Hastings has arrived in Harmony and is staying. The Gazette notes both developments and will follow up.0512
